Experiments on removing or neutralizing HCOOH (10/10/1976)
Purpose/Intro: "Removing HCOOH by lyophilization was a slow and risky business last time. I will investigate alternative neutralization and lyophilization methods."
Results/Conclusion: 1. Neutralization: none of these conditions are appropriate. 2. Lyophilization: 1 mL HCOOH + 4 mL H2O worked well—the apparatus described on the facing page was used and lyophilization was ~2 hr."
